PMKKKY

DMFT established under Section 9B of Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Act, 2015 - came into force from 12th January, 2015

Goals

High priority areas at least 60% of PMKKKY funds to be utilized for Drinking water, Healthcare, Education etc.,

Objective

The overall objective of PMKKKY scheme will be (a) to implement various developmental and welfare projects/programs in mining affected areas.

Expert advice

Minimize/mitigate the adverse impacts, during and after mining, on the environment, health and socio-economics of people in mining districts.

Result based

Ensure long-term sustainable livelihoods for the affected people in mining areas.
